We are currently hiring for this position
Job Description
Provide safe critical-care and air-medical transport to ill and injured patients in the San Antonio AirLIFE service area. Employees are scheduled for 12-hour shifts, alternating day shifts and night shifts monthly. Patient transports originate from scene response (50%) and inter-facility transfer (50%).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Texas certification or licensure as an EMT-Paramedic or demonstrate evidence of reciprocity procedure to legally work as an EMT-Paramedic in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of five years experience with a busy EMS service operating at MICU or Critical Care Transport level. Previous Critical-Care experience is desired.
- Current certification in ACLS, PHTLS / ITLS or ATLS audit (TNATC Preferred), PALS, and CPR are required. Previous teaching experience in these certification courses is helpful.
FP-C certification is desired and will be a requirement within first year of employment.
- Capable of working as a member of a team with little or no supervision.
- Applicants should be in good physical condition and total weight must not exceed 220 lbs. with flight equipment (i.e. flight-suit, helmet, etc.).
- Must be capable of working in confined spaces and be able to lift/move patients and equipment safely.
Provide references/ recommendations.
- AirLIFE is a tobacco free workplace. Pre-employment testing will include laboratory
testing for nicotine and nicotine metabolite byproducts. Presence of nicotine or its
byproducts will result in non-eligibility for employment.
If offer of employment is made, it is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment screening including a physical assessment and drug testing.

- Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse, or demonstrate evidence of reciprocity procedure as a Registered Nurse able to legally practice in Texas.
- Minimum five years of experience with an ED or ICU background. Prehospital experience helpful.
- Current certification in ACLS, TNCC or ATLS audit (TNATC Preferred), PALS or ENPC, and CPR are required. Previous teaching experience in these certification courses is helpful.
- CFRN and EMS certification is desired and will be a requirement within first year of employment.
- Capable of working as a member of a team with little or no supervision.

Flight Coordinator
Job Description
Flight Coordinators work a 12 hour shift range from
6 a.m. - 6 p.m., 6 p.m. - 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Current certification of Emergency Medical Technician - Basic or higher.
- Two years of emergency dispatch or equivalent experience or knowledge.
- Working knowledge of word processing and/or other basic computer software.
- Capable of working as a member of a team.
- Able to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with little or no supervision.

testing for nicotine and nicotine metabolite byproducts. Presence of nicotine or its
byproducts will result in non-eligibility for employment.
